The present design of clamping units is based on air control and special (so called “Gelasol”) plastic material, which requires comparatively extensive maintenance and relatively often replacement of this material in clamping units.. As the availability of this material can be limited in the future, VHS re-designed the control of clamping units to hydraulics.
