There were developed double pinion gearboxes (mechanical as well as Master-Slave versions) to reduce the backlash on X-axis feed of HBM´s SKODA as well as Rotary Tables. This backlash compensation is required particularly for conversions of manually operated machines to CNC-controlled versions.
